Over the weekend, an unseasonable warm weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a Dad and his daughters at Deep Cut Gardens. I am a true "Daddy's girl" in every sense of the way ... so I was very excited for this photo session. It was a such a treat to meet these sweet little loving sisters who adored their Dad and were excited to take pictures. These special relationships are something to treasure and I was so happy to be capturing their smiling faces. A little girl looking up to her dad and him holding those tiny little hands, knowing they have a hold on his heart forever. I only know the love I have for my father, I can only imagine the love a father has for his daughters. Truly, truly special!
Happy New Year ! One of my business resolutions is to "blog more", so here we go ! The last few days I have been working on getting organized for the new year. I have been culling through the 2012 images, updating my website and reflecting on my first year in the business of capturing life's moments. I noticed a theme throughout every photo shoot ... images of children and families looking away from my camera and enjoying what lies beyond. Some looking down the path in a beautiful park, some looking at each other or at the simple rolling waves in the ocean. I purposely do this in each session, but I realized its apart of what I deeply want for every person... the ability to live in the present and look to the future. I have been gifted with the ability to capture moments to treasure forever, but there is no better gift than the present... hmmm.. maybe that's why a gift is called a present? In 2013, enjoy every beautiful moment, look in the eyes of a loved one, a beautiful flower or the waves of the ocean and STOP, take it in. You, like a camera, have the power to take in that image and all its beauty! I wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and Beautiful New Year.
